Mitsubishi Car Paint car paint is mixed to the vehicle colour code you provide. Choose a 400ml 1K base-coat aerosol, a 400ml 2K direct-gloss aerosol, a 60ml, 100ml or 250ml 1K tester pot, or a 20ml 1K touch-up pen depending on the size of the repair.
Preparation has a major effect on the finished result. Clean and degrease the area thoroughly, remove loose paint or corrosion, and feather damaged edges before applying colour. Bare metal, filler and areas sanded through to the substrate may need a suitable primer first.
The 1K aerosol is a base coat and will normally need a compatible clear lacquer to provide the finished gloss and protection. The 2K aerosol is supplied as a direct-gloss coating. Tester pots and touch-up pens are 1K products and are useful for colour checks, chips and smaller repairs.
Always test the colour before painting the final area. Vehicle paint can change with age, UV exposure, polishing and previous repairs, so fresh paint mixed to the original manufacturer code may look slightly different beside an older finish.
Some manufacturer colour codes have more than one shade variant or use a multi-stage system. If your code needs an additional base colour, ground coat or further information, we will contact you before preparing the order.
