Product Description

If you're working from an NCS colour reference, Ncs S 5540-g60y can be custom mixed to order for colour matching and refinishing. The available options above allow the paint specification to be adapted to your project.

Ncs S 5540-g60y can be configured for the job rather than being limited to a single paint specification. Select from Cellulose, Acrylic Enamel or Synthetic Enamel, along with the applicable 1K, 2K and 2K Air-Dry systems shown above.

Gloss is selectable from a completely matt 0% finish through to 90% Full Gloss, allowing you to choose both the colour and sheen. Available pack sizes and formats are listed in the configurator for this product.

Where your project needs additional protection, the available options may include UV Protection and High Resistance. Aerosol cans also feature an adjustable vari-nozzle designed to give you more control over the width of the spray pattern.

Frequently Asked Questions

Drying time varies depending on the paint system, thickness of the coats, temperature, airflow and humidity. A surface can feel dry to the touch before the coating has fully hardened, so allow suitable drying time between coats and before putting the finished item back into use.

As a general guide, a 400ml aerosol can cover around 2 square metres per coat. Actual coverage will depend on the surface, shape of the item, colour, application technique and amount of paint applied.

Several light, even coats will usually give a better result than one heavy coat. Around 2–4 coats is a useful starting point, although the colour underneath, the chosen shade and the surface itself can all affect how much coverage is required.

Before applying your paint: because each colour is mixed to order, we recommend carrying out a small test first and checking that the colour and finish are suitable for your project. If you have any concerns, please get in touch before applying the paint more widely.

A colour viewed on a phone, tablet or monitor may not look exactly the same as the physical paint. Screen calibration, brightness and lighting conditions can all influence the way a shade is displayed.
