If you're working from a RAL Design reference, RAL 340 40 45 can be mixed to your chosen specification for decorative, restoration and general refinishing work. The RAL Design range provides a broad choice for projects where more detailed colour selection is required.
RAL 340 40 45 can be configured for the job rather than being limited to a single paint specification. Select from Cellulose, Acrylic Enamel or Synthetic Enamel, along with the applicable 1K, 2K and 2K Air-Dry systems shown above.
Gloss is selectable from a completely matt 0% finish through to 90% Full Gloss, allowing you to choose both the colour and sheen. Available pack sizes and formats are listed in the configurator for this product.
Where your project needs additional protection, the available options may include UV Protection and High Resistance. Aerosol cans also feature an adjustable vari-nozzle designed to give you more control over the width of the spray pattern.
Suitability depends on the paint type, paint system, surface and preparation method. Metal, plastic, wood and other materials can have different requirements, so make sure the chosen system and any primer are suitable for the material you're working with.
Lighter coats are easier to control and allow the colour to build more evenly. Applying too much paint at once can increase the chance of runs, uneven drying and an inconsistent surface. Build coverage gradually and allow appropriate time between coats.
Check that you've selected the correct colour, paint type, system and gloss level for the job. Make sure the surface has been prepared properly, confirm whether a primer or lacquer is required, and read the application and safety information for the products you're using before you begin.
Before applying your paint: because each colour is mixed to order, we recommend carrying out a small test first and checking that the colour and finish are suitable for your project. If you have any concerns, please get in touch before applying the paint more widely.
A colour viewed on a phone, tablet or monitor may not look exactly the same as the physical paint. Screen calibration, brightness and lighting conditions can all influence the way a shade is displayed.
