Product Description
1K Clear Plastic Primer 500ml is a fast-drying adhesion promoter designed to improve the bond between plastic surfaces and subsequent primers or topcoats. Its transparent finish makes it particularly useful where you want to improve adhesion without introducing a coloured primer layer beneath the final coating.
The formulation is suitable for a wide range of commonly used automotive and industrial plastics, making it ideal for bumpers, trims, mouldings, plastic panels and other components that can otherwise be difficult to coat successfully.
With excellent adhesion, rapid drying and the ability to be overcoated with compatible primers or topcoats, it provides a practical preparation stage for repair, restoration and refinishing work.

Coverage: Approximately 1.56–2.19m² per 500ml aerosol, depending on application method and film thickness.
Typical drying times:
- Dust free: approximately 5–10 minutes
- Touch dry: approximately 10–20 minutes
- Sandable: approximately 15 minutes
- Overcoatable: approximately 15–30 minutes
Drying times will vary depending on temperature, humidity, airflow and the thickness of the applied coat.
Surface preparation:
- Abrade the surface where required before application.
- Clean the substrate thoroughly to remove grease, silicone, moisture and other contamination.
- Ensure the surface is completely clean and dry before spraying.
- Always read and follow the product label and safety instructions before use.
