Product Description
1K Fiberglass Primer 400ml is a high-build, fast-drying primer designed for use on fibreglass, gel coat and suitable metal surfaces. Its formulation provides excellent etching performance on fibreglass and gel coat while also offering useful anti-corrosive protection on compatible metal substrates.
The high-build properties help create a more even surface during preparation, making it well suited to repair, restoration and refinishing work where minor surface imperfections need to be reduced before applying the final coating.
This alkyd-based primer can be overcoated with both 1K and 2K compatible finishes, giving it excellent versatility across a wide range of projects. Supplied in a convenient 400ml aerosol, it is ideal for smaller repairs, localised refinishing and detailed preparation work.

Typical drying times:
- Touch dry: approximately 20–30 minutes

Drying and overcoating times can vary depending on temperature, humidity, airflow and the thickness of the applied coat.
Surface preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from grease, wax, silicone and other contamination before application. Abrade the substrate where required and always follow the product label and application instructions before use.
